Sad news to report – radio legend Casey Kasem has passed away after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was 82.

Frankly there is nothing we can say that hasn’t been said. He was one of the biggest stars ever in the medium. Countless others have tried (and most have failed) to emulate his formula. Casey was in the NAB Hall Of Fame before many of us were born, and with good reason.

We, like you, remember turning on our radio every weekend and hearing Casey’s voice… and falling in love with the industry as we did. In fact, for many of us, we got our first gig running his show, or cracking the mic right after his show.

Our hearts go out to Jean, Liberty, Mike, Julie, Kerri and the rest of his family – and hoping they can find peace, including with each other, in this time.

Thank you for everything, Casey.
